Image Caption Carousel

For body content containers of any width.

The Image Caption Carousel widget scrolls through up to five slides. You have the ability to add a caption to each slide that will appear underneath the image. This widget is ideal for giving users more background on the images they see on your page.

Widget standards

A layout is needed for this widget.

Do:

  • Use 1-5 slides per carousel.
  • Provide a caption for each image.
  • Use dimensions:
    • Desktop Image Size: 700x467 - Ratio: 3:2.

Do NOT:

  • Add captions to some slides but not others. Captions must be added to all slides or no slides.
  • Stack multiple carousel layouts/sets on top of each other.
    • For example, a carousel with 5 slides then another carousel with 5 slides directly below.

Written instructions

1. Add the image-caption-carousel layout to the page.

2. Add the ImageCaptionCarousel widget to the page.

3. Click "Create content".

4. Template: Select card.

5. Description: Enter the caption text. (Recommend max 150 characters) Note: If you do not enter a caption, the area where it would appear will be hidden.

6. Image: Select a 700x467 image that has been optimized and uploaded to the Digital Asset Management system (DAM).

7. Save your work and continue.

Tip: Repeat steps 1-7 for each additional slide you would in your carousel.

Save and send

  • If you'd like to continue working on this page, but need to save your progress, click Save as Draft.​
  • If you're finished making changes to the page, and the page is ready for review, click Send for Approval.
