Political and electoral advocacy plays a powerful role in shaping our laws and policies. By advocating on behalf of causes you believe in, you can help change laws, elect candidates you trust and persuade people to your point of view.

A certificate in political advocacy and elections from CMU gives you the skills you need to be an effective advocate. You’ll build a solid understanding of political behavior, campaigns and elections, and the behavior of interest groups. You’ll choose from practical courses including Persuasion and Social Influence, Political Communication, and Citizen Engagement in Public Life. And you’ll prepare to be part of the solution.
