Some colleges are very good and restructuring and combining departments worries me as a student in the education I am paying for., We’re the number ine college media company in the ENTIRE country and thats a strong selling point to potential students that you could draw in., It does not address any concerns that I would like to see addressed, such as funding departments and colleges in danger (i.e., Shifting departments and colleges should be approved by students and faculty to make the process more ethical and democratic., Because they had one of the top programs for my major compared to other schools Best college I could afford.

For departments from different colleges, both college deans should be consulted, although a single dean is designated as the responsible dean., Consult with departments, schools, and colleges interested in developing new programs and assist them as needed., COMMUNICATION AND FINE ARTS (CCFA)  Most departments in the College can handle growth in enrollment and all departments are engaging heavily in recruitment., The Journalism Department hosts a community college media faculty workshop every year and the Department of Art & Design is working on articulation agreements with community colleges, I know that Art in particular would be very interested in collaboration with high schools.

Enrollment Challenges As is the case at many colleges and universities nationwide, enrollment continues to be a chief concern for Central Michigan University., Launched virtual international internships and virtual exchange as alternatives to in-person cross-cultural experiences and continued student advising via virtual platforms and social media • Office of Information Technology led the HyFlex Mediation Project • The Institute for Transformative Dialogue expands intergroup dialogue across the university to provide a safe way for students to explore new perspectives, increase understanding of others and develop skills to thrive in a multicultural society o Partnership between CLASS and Enrollment and Student Services o Grows out of a decade of training student facilitators in intergroup dialogue o Model partnership of academics and student growth inside and outside the classroom • Two new majors were approved in CAM, a BFA in Cinema Studies (an interdisciplinary program between Broadcast and Cinematic Arts and Art and Design) and a BAA in Dance Studies., This designation is considered the ‘gold standard.’, One such example is the podcast series “Responding to ACEs: Resources for Resilience”, which is a collaborative effort between the School of Broadcast and Cinematic Arts, College of Medicine, and the Interdisciplinary Center for Community Health and Wellness., to the public universities, including the design and implementation of the MiTransfer website • Chippewa Achieve Program (CAP) is a partnership with Mid-Michigan College to help students prepare for transfer to CMU.

 Engage academic departments to create opportunities for mid-career educational needs, (Students) College of the Arts and Media (CAM)  New Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Art: Animation Concentration., The College of the Arts and Media's Director of Student Services has begun coordinating with the faculty departments on recruitment activities via strategic budgeting, facilitating interdepartmental outreach efforts, supporting new outreach initiatives and leading improved and ongoing communication with current students and many young alumni., (Students) College of the Arts and Media (CAM)  Creation of Social Media Research and Analytics Lab supported by cluster hire of two new Tenure Track positions focusing on Social Media in Journalism and Broadcast and Cinematic Art., This is the first step in creating a new major in Social Media Analytics and reinstating the Social Media Minor.
