Short Tours Military Leave OP30-7 Upon request and presentation of appropriate military orders, an employee shall be granted a military leave of absence to engage in a temporary tour of duty with the National Guard or any recognized branch of the military service not to exceed fifteen days in any calendar year., CMU will pay the difference between the employee's military pay and regular pay if the military pay is less., Immediate family will be defined the same as under the Family Medical Leave, e.g., spouse, children, and parents., OP45-6 If the employee’s spouse does not work at the University and the spouse’s employer offers medical/prescription drug and dental insurance coverage, the spouse must sign up for insurance coverage (at least single subscriber) with their employer before they can be covered on University policies., qualifying exigency of a covered military family member.
