CMU Honors String Orchestra 2026

Details:	The School of Music at Central Michigan University is proud to announce the annual Honors String Orchestra! This event is open to students currently enrolled in public or private schools in grades 8-12. Registration deadline is Friday, Sept. 4, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Sample Schedule 8:30-9:00am — Registration 9:00am-12:00pm — Full rehearsals and sectionals 12:00pm-1:00pm — Lunch (provided by the School of Music) 1:00pm-4:00pm — Full rehearsals, sectionals, Admissions Presentation, Faculty Presentation 4:00pm-5:30pm — Featuring CMU faculty, students, and the honors orchestras 5:30pm Concert — Dinner (provided by the School of Music) and change Director Events Conducting Workshop Rehearsal Techniques Workshop String Techniques Class Score Study Class Observation of Rehearsals SCECH Credit Registration costs $35.00 for directors!
