College is more than earning a degree. It’s about finding your community, discovering your strengths, overcoming challenges, and building a life that feels meaningful and balanced.
COMPASS (Community, Outreach, Mental Health, Persistence, And Student Success) is a student-centered initiative designed to help CMU students do exactly that!
COMPASS peer educators:
- Create and lead wellness initiatives
- Support students navigating stress and challenges
- Inspire fellow students to develop intentional habits that promote resiliency, confidence, and success both inside and outside of the classroom
- Promote a campus culture where every student feels seen, valued, and supported
Your class, student organization or department can request a COMPASS presentation or event.

Student wellness space
We can't wait to welcome you!
Located in Foust 100, the student wellness space provides a place for students to explore, connect, and reset during their day. The wellness space is hosted by the Oros Scholars and is open to students during the week for use without an appointment. The space may also be reserved by student groups for meetings or other gatherings.
Hours will be available Fall 2026.
