Mental Health Resources

    CMU strives to provide a variety of services to support the diverse needs of our students. Students have access to free counseling, 24/7 crisis intervention services, and a variety of programs designed to support their personal growth and academic success.

    Offering free and confidential services, the Counseling Center staff are committed to creating an environment where all individuals will be appreciated and treated with respect.     CMU CARES is a comprehensive support service to help TAKE CARE of our students, faculty, and staff. CMU CARES provides students with helpful information and support in navigating campus and community resources to foster student well-being and success.

    Sexual Aggression Peer Advocates (SAPA) is a survivor-centered and trauma-informed, paraprofessional student organization that serves those affected by sexual aggression. They provide 24/7 services during fall and spring semester, including a confidential support line and direct, in-person services.

    Mental health should always be a priority. CMU Behavioral Health has trained and licensed physicians and providers offering psychiatric care for students, faculty and staff.

    The Center for Community Counseling and Development (CCCD) is staffed by counselors in training who provide free counseling services for students and community members.
