Title IV Authorization 

In order for Central Michigan University to release any federal funding to your student account, you are required to complete the Title IV Authorization form. This form can be found in your financial aid portal under "documents".

Federal financial aid (such as Pell Grant, SEOG, TEACH Grant, and Direct Loans) are used to pay for current tuition charges and mandatory fees associated with attending Central Michigan University. Upon receipt of each disbursement, Central Michigan University will apply your financial aid funds to your tuition and other allowable charges such as books and other course materials. In addition, students may incur other educationally related fees while attending Central Michigan University such as graduation fees, etc. Federal student aid may be used to pay for these expenses with the student's permission using the Title IV authorization form.  

Please note that if you do not authorize federal student aid to be used to cover these costs, you will be responsible for covering the costs using non-federal aid funds. If you decide to change or cancel the authorization, please reach out to the OSFA and the change will be in effect for future disbursements and cannot be made retroactively.
