Enrollment verification

The National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) acts as Central Michigan University’s authorized agent for providing degree and enrollment verifications for students and graduates. The Clearinghouse receives data electronically from CMU and, in compliance with FERPA, dispenses the information electronically to requesting lending institutions, prospective employers, background investigation firms, and credit-granting agencies.

Student Degree/Enrollment Status Reported To Clearinghouse

CMU reports graduation status to the NSC for up to forty (40) business days following the published graduation date. Student enrollment and anticipated graduation dates are reported to the NSC multiple times each semester, with the first submission occurring the 2nd week of the semester. Updated enrollment information is generally available with NSC beginning the third week of the semester. CMU’s submission dates to NSC can be found on the calendar website.
