Campus Master Plan
Like a small city, a university campus encompasses a diverse collection of spaces that support learning, living, working, research, recreation and community engagement. Classrooms and laboratories, residence halls and apartments, dining facilities, offices, athletic venues, utility systems, and open spaces all work together to create the campus experience.
A campus master plan is the university’s long-range roadmap for the physical development of campus. It provides a strategic framework for investing in, renovating, expanding, repurposing, or retiring facilities in support of the university’s mission and strategic priorities. Rather than approaching projects individually, the master plan helps ensure that decisions made today contribute to a cohesive vision for the future — one that promotes student success, supports faculty and staff, enhances operational efficiency, and strengthens the campus experience for generations to come.
