Hispanic Heritage Month at Central Michigan University is celebrated annually September 15 to October 15. In conjunction with other national celebrations, we recognize the contributions made and the important presence of Hispanic and Latino Americans to the United States, Michigan and CMU. Join us in celebration of Hispanic heritage and culture.

"A Day On, not a Day Off" is how Martin Luther King, Jr. Week is celebrated at Central Michigan University. Annually, the third week in January kicks off the celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy with a week of activities organized by the Multicultural Academic Student Services. Most events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted. Seating is limited on a first-come, first-served basis.

Black History Month at Central Michigan University is celebrated annually during the entire month of February. In conjunction with other national celebrations, we recognize the contributions made and the important presence of African Americans to the United States, Michigan and CMU. Join us in celebration of Black History and culture.

(President Barack Obama). While Asian Pacific American Heritage Month is celebrated nationally during the month of May, CMU celebrates March 15 to April 15, during the spring semester.

National Arab American Heritage Month (NAAHM) is a time for celebrating the history, contributions, and culture of the diverse population of Arab Americans. In 2019, Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI) and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) issued a congressional resolution for NAAHM to be recognized on a national scale.
