2024-2025 academic year housing selection

After being admitted and paying your enrollment reservation deposit, you'll be sent an email to your CMICH account beginning in January 2024 containing our Residential Community Living Guide that contains important housing information.

You're three easy steps away from your new home at CMU! Please read the following steps carefully to understand the online housing sign-up process.

The housing application will open in January 2024. Check your CMICH email beginning in January 2024 for our Residential Community Living Guide with important housing information.

Log into housing.cmich.edu with your CMU global ID and password. If you do not remember your global ID or password, contact the CMU Help Desk at 989-774-3662.

In the housing application, you'll select your meal plan, fill out a lifestyle profile and create roommate groups. All steps can be revisited in the application.

To defer/postpone, please email reslife@cmich.edu with your name and student ID number.

To pay by electronic check or credit card, log into centrallink.cmich.edu using your global ID and password and select View/Pay my Bill.

Please allow 48 hours from the date of application for the first housing charge to appear on your account.

You will receive an email to your CMICH account by July 1 with your specific timeslot to select your housing assignment. A timeslot is assigned to you based on your randomly selected lottery number. 

Housing selection will take place in mid-July. During your timeslot, you will log back into your housing application at housing.cmich.edu to select your housing assignment. If you are in a roommate group, the Group Leader will select a housing assignment and assign themselves and each roommate to a bed space in that room.
